Wheelchair Friendly Helicopter Flights
Big Game Heli can accommodate wheelchair users for certain lodges and locations where the correct equipment and access are available. With advance planning and the right setup, we are able to assist with safe and comfortable helicopter boarding and transfers from Hoedspruit and surrounding areas.
We are proud to work closely with Ximuwu Lodge, which is fully equipped to support accessible travel. Together, we help make scenic helicopter flights and lodge transfers in the Greater Kruger National Park region possible for guests who require additional mobility support.

A Fresh R44 in the Hangar
Big Game Heli has recently taken delivery of a newly refurbished Robinson R44, strengthening our helicopter flights in Hoedspruit and across the Greater Kruger National Park region. The aircraft has been carefully selected for the type of work we do – conservation support, lodge transfers and private charter throughout Limpopo and beyond.
Finished in a clean red livery, it’s highly visible in the bush during wildlife operations and coordinated field work. More importantly, it’s a dependable, well-set-up aircraft that suits the conditions we fly in every day.

Rescued by Helicopter: Polish hikers lost in Blyde River Canyon
Big Game Heli provided helicopter aerial support during the rescue of lost hikers in the Blyde River Canyon. Working alongside Hoedspruit Farm Watch, Gerry McDonald, flying our Robinson R44 assisted in locating and accessing the hikers in difficult terrain and extreme weather near Hoedspruit.

Mandela Week Rhino Operation with My Africa
Big Game Heli provided aerial support during a Mandela Week rhino horn trimming operation led by My Africa Foundation near Hoedspruit. These carefully coordinated flights form part of ongoing efforts to reduce poaching risk and protect vulnerable animals.
