Big Game Heli is a family owned and run helicopter services company. Established in 2012 (BGH) operates primarily, but not exclusively, in the Lowveld region supporting the conservation and wildlife industry including, game farm owners, private and national reserves as well as private individuals who require our aviation expertise.
Owners, the Osmers family are resolute about providing an affordable but excellent service. Helicopter pilot, Gerry McDonald, is a passionate conservationist with countless hours of conservation and wildlife management experience, both in the air as well as on the ground.

Benjamin Osmers, a dedicated conservationist, helicopter pilot, son, husband, brother and father. Benny will mostly be remembered for his larger than life, fun loving personality. The zest and passion which he put into his work was equally matched by his love for his family and friends. Around a bushveld fire Benny would always be the one, beer in hand, sharing accounts of his helicopter flying adventures and wildly laughing at others’ jokes and anecdotes. He is sorely missed by all who had the privilege of meeting and knowing him.
